Back Again: Ventureneer's Popular Webinar on LinkedIn for Nonprofits

New York, NY (Vocus) January 3, 2010 -- Non profit leaders who use LinkedIn effectively can expand their access to donors, board members, and volunteers, and network with their peers. But they must know how to create compelling profiles, join the right discussion groups, use their connections, and develop a presence at LinkedIn to reap its benefits.

Ventureneer's free webinar, LinkedIn for Non Profit Organizations (http://ventureneer.com/webclass/linkedin-non-profit-organizations), has been so well-received that Ventureneer is offering the free webinar again!

"Non profit leaders realize that they need to learn how to use technology to their advantage," says Geri Stengel, founder of Ventureneer. "LinkedIn is an inexpensive, but powerful, way to tap new resources and expand visibility. The response to our previous webinars shows that non profit leaders realize that."

The webinar will be held on January 19, 2010, from noon to 1:15 p.m. It will be taught by Marc Halpert, Managing Partner of e-givingonline (http://www.e-givingonline.com) and Your Best Interest LLC. Marc Halpert has been recognized for client service and is a frequent speaker at national, regional, and local conferences for small businesses and non profits. He is also an adjunct professor at University of Phoenix's Fairfield County on-ground campus.

“I left the session feeling empowered to help my non profit. Marc's enthusiasm and expertise was impressive and his willingness to share these qualities is unmistakably genuine." said Kala Kaminsky, EAC Guatemala Family Liaison.

Those new to social networking will learn how to start, with an optimized, compelling profile. Frequent LinkedIn users will learn how to become a presence in the LinkedIn non profit community.

The January 19th webinar is only the beginning. In February, Ventureneer will host Halpert's new, four-session series of free webinars, LinkedIn for the Uninitiated in 4 Easy Steps. The webinars will air on February 2, 9, 16 and 23rd, from noon to 1 p.m.

As Halpert explains, LinkedIn is about more than a profile. With it, non profit leaders can use their connections to find money and talent well beyond the confines of their own address books.

"Ventureneer provides the diverse combination of broad spectrum topics as well as a deep-dive into specific areas like LinkedIn for Non Profits" said Bharath Kashyap, Imagine India [ http://www.icanimagine.org, a non profit in Bangalore, India.

These free webinars will provide "a-ha" moments to nonprofit staff and management who are responsible for marketing, communications, public relations, and fundraising.
